NSCLC Pushes for Language Access Protections in Health Plan Process
NSCLC recently commented on interim final regulations establishing internal claims and appeals processes that group and individual health insurance providers must follow. The rules included significant protections for limited English proficient plan enrollees like interpreter and notice translation requirements. NSCLC’s comments supported the rules and advocated for further protections including a clearer definition of limited English proficient and broader interpreter and translation requirements.
