Keywords

So you thought the Administration and its Congressional allies had accepted defeat in their efforts to privatize Social Security? Well, think again!

Rep. Jim McCrery, R-La., Chair of the Subcommittee on Social Security of the House Committee on Ways and Means announced after addressing a meeting of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce this week that Social Security privatization should the Congress’s first priority in 2007. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi promptly denounced McCrery’s remarks.
