Part D Guide Available for People with Disabilities

United Cerebral Palsy has published “Navigating the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage Program: A Guide for People with Disabilities, Benefits Counselors, Disability Organizations and Others On Ensuring Adequate and Appropriate Access to Prescription Drugs.”

The brief guide offers insight into Part D coverage in question-and-answer format. Targeted to individuals and advocates for persons with disabilities, the guide is a general resource for all people with Medicare Part D coverage. Information regarding formulary accessibility, and exceptions and appeals processes are particularly well described in a concise manner for all audiences. Included also are state and government resources, as well as tips for self-advocacy, complete with a beginner’s health care journal.
