NSCLC's Lawsuit on the DRA Citizenship Documentation Requirements

The National Senior Citizens Law Center, National Health Law Program, Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law, Health & Disability Advocates, and the law firm of Goldberg Kohn have filed a national class action lawsuit against U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Michael O. Leavitt, challenging the federal government’s plan to require Medicaid applicants and beneficiaries to produce documentation proving their citizenship as a condition of Medicaid eligibility.
