Set an Existing User to be a Subscriber

To set a user to be a subscriber to a publication, that user first needs to exist on the system .

  1. First navigate to the publication folder (e.g. Manuals) that you want to add a subscriber to.
  2. Select the Sharing tab.
  3. Find the user you want to manage. Do this in the “Add sharing permissions to users” section by using the Search By: and Search Term fields.  Note: if you simply click the Perform Search button without entering anything, it will show you all current users, which is probably easiest while there are still very few users on the system.
  4. The Search Results section appears, listing users matching your "search by" criteria.
  5. Click the checkbox beside the new subscriber.
  6. Click “Subscriber” under “Role to Assign”.
  7. Click the “Assign Local Role to Selected User(s)” button.

Non-subscribers will not be able to see publications listed.
