Post an Article

To post an article, first navigate to the topic area (e.g. Federal Rights) that you want to post the article in.  Click Add Item in the green framing box.  Select “Article” from the drop-down.

The Edit Article screen includes fields for the article’s Title, Description, Published Date, etc.  Required fields are noted with a red square after the field label.

Keep in mind that articles can take one of three forms: 1) a web page displayed within the context of the site; 2) an uploaded document (e.g. a PDF or Word file); 3) a link to an external web page.  Depending on the form of your article, you will fill in either: 1) Body; 2) Attached File; 3) URL..  You should fill in one and only one of these three fields.

The Related Topics field is used to cross-reference this article into other Areas of Expertise.  Remember that it will primarily appear in the Area where you are adding it.  In the cross-referenced Area, it will appear as a “Related Article”.
